About Me

My photo
The day I said "I do" I married the love of my life and the United States Navy. Since then we have been enjoying the life that the Navy has offered us. This is the story of my days as a wife, stay at home mom of 3 , dog wrangler, and coordinator of our crazy lives!

Catching Up and a Gender Reveal!

I realize I have been MIA lately, but with working, "moving", and dealing with the every day around here -- everything else has pretty much fallen to the wayside.. Also, as you may have noticed...totally dropped the ball on finishing the 30 day challenge.

We are finally getting settled in our new house in Connecticut. Ed managed to get rid of most of the boxes (by randomly sticking things in closets). He informed me earlier that tomorrows goal is to completely finish unpacking and putting things away. So not going to happen. We do, however, need to get the spare room finished, as my mother in law is coming to visit over Memorial Day weekend and, as of this moment, she will be sleeping on a bed without sheets or pillows and will have to climb over baby clothes and boxes to get around. Charming, right?

Speaking of baby clothes....we officially know the gender of the twins. If you know me in real life or are friends with me on facebook/instagram you may already know all of this, but...**drumroll**...

The twins are BOTH girls! I bought them these coordinating clothes to tell Ed. He seems to be coming to terms with it, but I am still slightly in shock. To be honest, the entire thing is a bit surreal. It doesnt matter that I have seen both of them on the ultrasound, have heard their hearts beat, and now can feel them both move...it still does not register that they are going to hand me TWO babies in the hospital. If I think too much about it I am going to get completely overwhelmed, so, moving on.

Speaking of overwhelmed. I cannot even believe how daunting it is to shop for two girls! I have always been excited to buy girl clothes. Boys are fun to dress, but oh the ruffles and tutus and cuteness that is girl clothes! It all seems so lovely...until you have to buy two of everything. Do you buy the exact same thing? Do you buy the same thing in two different colors? Do you buy one of everything and just buy a lot? The decisions are becoming too much. The above dresses are literally the only thing I have purchased. I have picked clothes out a couple of times and end up stressing myself out so much by the end that I dont buy anything. I know. First world problems. I am hoping to order some things online this weekend while Carters is having a sale, because, really, why dont I need more stuff to put away?

I have been seeing a fetal medicine doctor and have been adding to my twin knowledge...stay tuned!

In the mean time, here is a super cute picture of the little boy who made me a mommy!
